The Finance Department supervises all business functions for Glendale Union High School District.  Key areas of involvement focus on various divisions, including purchasing, accounts payable, payroll, risk management, and employee benefits. Responsibilities include the provision of timely and accurate information to staff, the public, and regulatory agencies.

Based on the 2021 Auditor General's Classroom Spending report, GUHSD invests more of its funding in the classroom than the state and peer district group averages. The same report found that GUHSD spends less on administration than other state and peer district group averages. Glendale Union High School District has been fiscally responsible with taxpayer funds and has earned prestigious awards from the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) and the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for the past 32 years.
