Facebook Rules of Engagement for the Glendale Union High School District and Affiliated High Schools

This page is for the entire GUHSD community - parents, students, alumni, staff, residents/businesses/organizations in the surrounding area, and prospective families. We reserve the right to delete posts on our page containing any of the following elements: - profanity - misinformation - spam - off-topic/irrelevant - personal attacks - promotion of violence, illegal acts, or questionable activities If you repeatedly violate this policy, you will be removed/blocked from the page

The intent of this policy is not to keep any negative or critical information from being posted, but to protect the privacy and rights of the Glendale Union High School District staff and students. Naming specific employees or students in a negative way will not be allowed. Page administrators review all postings for their appropriateness.

We welcome your thoughts and comments and look forward to what you have to say. However, we will remove any postings that:

  • Break the law or encourage others to do so. This includes respecting copyright and fair use laws. If you are talking about somebody else’s work, comments/posts should reference this or the person, and where possible, include a link or website address.
  • Contain abusive or inappropriate language or statements. This includes remarks that are sexist, racist, obscene, defamatory, profane, libelous, threatening, harassing, abusive, hateful or embarrassing to any other person or entity. Content or posts containing obscenities or sexually explicit material will not be allowed.
  • Do not show proper consideration for others’ privacy or are considered likely to offend or provoke others, i.e. don’t pick fights or goad others into inflammatory debates.
  • Are trolling or spam, i.e. repeatedly posting the same comment or comments that are simply advertising and/or promoting a service or a product.
