2025-2026 GUHSD RETIREES

GUHSD Governing Board Honors Employees at Retirement Recognition Reception
The Glendale Union High School District Governing Board hosted the District’s Retirement Recognition Reception, honoring employees whose dedication and years of service have made a lasting impact across GUHSD schools and programs.
Retirees, family members, friends, district leaders, and staff gathered for the annual celebration recognizing careers devoted to supporting students and strengthening school communities throughout the district. The evening began with introductions and welcoming remarks from Superintendent Matt Belden, who thanked retirees for their commitment to education and the meaningful role they have played in the lives of students, families, and the community.
Principals and administrators then presented their retirees, sharing reflections on each individual’s contributions and the influence they have had within their schools, departments, and campuses. From classrooms and front offices to athletics, operations, counseling, and student support services, retirees were recognized for the dedication and professionalism they brought to their roles throughout their careers. As colleagues and guests reflected on years of service, the evening highlighted the traditions and lasting memories built across GUHSD. Many retirees were celebrated not only for their professional accomplishments but also for the mentorship and leadership they shared with students and coworkers over the years.
Closing remarks were delivered by Governing Board President Natalie Veidmark, bringing the evening to a heartfelt conclusion as the district honored the legacy of this year’s retiring employees.
The Retirement Recognition Reception reflected the strong sense of community built across the Glendale Union High School District through years of service, leadership, and care for students. From all of us at GUHSD, thank you to our 2025-2026 retirees for your dedication to education and for the positive impact you have made on students, families, schools, and the community.
