COMMUNITY RESOURCE DAY

Community Resource Day to Support Special Education Students and Families
Glendale Union High School District will host Community Resource Day at Moon Valley High School on Tuesday, February 24, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., to support students in special education and their families as they plan for life after high school.
This event is designed to help families better understand the programs, services, and resources available to students following graduation. Representatives from a variety of community agencies will be on-site to share information, answer questions, and provide guidance on next steps. Participating organizations include the Arizona Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), Glendale Community College’s Disability Resource Center, and other local partners dedicated to supporting students with disabilities.
Community Resource Day provides families with a valuable opportunity to connect directly with service providers, learn about transition planning, and gain insight into postsecondary education, employment, and support services. These conversations can play a critical role in helping students successfully transition beyond high school.
Families are strongly encouraged to attend and take advantage of this free opportunity to build connections, ask questions, and access information that can help support their student’s future success.
