STUCO LEADERSHIP MEETING

STUCO Together for Leadership Workshop
Student council leaders from all Glendale Union High School District campuses came together for their monthly leadership meeting hosted by Superintendent Matt Belden, designed to empower and connect student leaders. The gathering provided a valuable opportunity for students to engage in meaningful discussions, collaborate with their peers, and grow as leaders within their school communities.
During their meeting at the District Office, students shared their excitement and plans for upcoming Homecoming events, offering creative ideas and highlighting the unique traditions at each campus. The conversation then shifted toward leadership development, where students explored the qualities of a 360-degree leader. This concept encourages student leaders to reflect on their influence and the importance of setting a good example on and off campus.
The group also brainstormed ways to create a more positive campus environment, discussing strategies to boost school spirit, strengthen student involvement, and support their peers.
The meeting concluded with an open Q&A session, allowing students to ask questions and gain insight from district leaders.
This inspiring session reaffirmed GUHSD’s commitment to student voice and leadership, reminding students that they play a vital role in shaping the culture and future of their schools.
