GREENWAY AAA RECIPIENTS HONORED

Celebrating Excellence: Greenway High School’s Achievement Above All Honorees
The GUHSD Governing Board proudly presented the Achievement Above All award to four exceptional individuals and one student group, acknowledging their commitment, leadership, and enduring contributions to their school and community.
Teacher Recipient: Mr. Kent Renard
Mr. Kent Renard’s dedication to education spans nearly three decades, with the past 21 years enriching the Greenway community. As a teacher in the autism program, Special Education Department Chair, and Head of Delegation for Special Olympics and Unified Sports, Kent has been a driving force in fostering inclusivity and opportunity for all students. His passion for building relationships extends beyond the classroom, ensuring that students, parents, and colleagues feel heard and valued. Colleagues admire his commitment to communication, teamwork, and creating a supportive learning environment. Greenway is fortunate to have such a compassionate and devoted educator shaping the lives of its students.
Student Recipient: Boston Gadsby
Boston Gadsby embodies leadership and school spirit, excelling in honors and Advanced Placement coursework while actively contributing to Student Council, DECA, Key Club, and theater. As Senior Class President, he uplifts those around him, fostering a positive and inclusive campus culture. His teachers praise his dedication, with Holly Eyerley stating, “If someone asked me to name a student that has made the most of their high school experience, I'd name Boston.” After graduation, he plans to serve in the Air Force, pursue a degree in business and marketing, and eventually return to education. His academic excellence, passion, and selflessness make him a deserving recipient of the Achievement Above All Award.
Student Group Recipient: LINK Crew
The Greenway LINK Crew is an outstanding student leadership group dedicated to guiding and supporting freshmen as they transition into high school. With nearly 100 members and led by program sponsor Miss Holly Eyerley, LINK plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and connected school environment. Their efforts begin long before the school year starts, planning engaging “First Day Activities” to help freshmen feel at home. Throughout the year, they continue their mission by organizing Re-LINK events, visiting classrooms, and creating holiday cards. Freshman Gavin Ammons sums up their impact best: “I was really thankful for meeting my Link leader and group members that first day. This has made my freshman year so much better.” Through their dedication and enthusiasm, the LINK Program strengthens the Greenway community, making them truly deserving of the Achievement Above All Award.
Support Staff Recipient: Jon Denny
Jon Denny is celebrating 20 years of dedicated service in the maintenance department across the district, having held 10 different roles, including bus driver, inner grounds worker, electrician, and now Assistant Facilities Supervisor at Greenway High School. Known for his quiet demeanor, Jon’s hard work speaks volumes. In even the most stressful situations, he remains calm and patient, always getting the job done. Jeff Feldman, Greenway’s Assistant Principal of Operations and Resources, shares, “Jon has always been a hard-working and dependable person who is a very important part of the Greenway Crew.” His skills, knowledge, and reliability have made him an invaluable asset to the team. Greenway is fortunate to have him, and he is truly deserving of the Achievement Above All Award.
Volunteer Recipient: Amber Clark
Amber Clark has dedicated herself to Greenway for over six years as a committed member of the Parent Action Club. You can also find her alongside her husband on the football field every Friday night, helping with the filming of games. Amber’s volunteer efforts extend beyond the school, positively impacting the broader community through her work organizing youth athletic programs and building lasting relationships. Her dedication provides essential support for both students and families, ensuring they have the resources to thrive. Greenway is incredibly grateful for her selflessness, and her contributions make her a deserving recipient of the Achievement Above All Volunteer Award.
