Vicki
Johnson, an Arizona native and graduate of GUHSD
- Cortez High School. She is the proud parent of two
graduates of GUHSD - Greenway High School and proud
grandmother of two. Mrs. Johnson has served on the governing
board since 1993. In 2004 Mrs. Johnson earned her Masters
in Boardsmanship. She was a very active volunteer for
many years in our schools in parent projects and sporting
events both in school and outside organizations. In
business she worked 18 years for Mountain Bell and many
years for two not for profit social services organizations.

Kevin Clayborn
Elected in 1998 |
Kevin Clayborn is a long-time area resident and has three children
who graduated from the Glendale Union High School District.
Mr. Clayborn, a sales manager for an electronics firm,
began serving on the board in 1998. He is actively involved
in local issues and is a strong advocate for continued
quality for public education and other youth concerns.
Mr. Clayborn represents the Arizona School Boards in
the Federal Relations Network.

Steve Burke joined the governing board in 2005. He graduated from
Maryvale High School and earned an Associate of Arts
degree at Glendale Community College. He continued his
education and received a Bachelor of Arts in Business
at Arizona State University and a Master of Arts degree
in Counseling at Northern Arizona University. He has
taught and coached at Prescott Junior High, Independence
High and Thunderbird High. |

Kathy Jacka
Elected in 2006

Kathy Jacka was appointed to the governing board in 2006. She is an accountant, married mother of two (one Sunnyslope graduate and one current student), Arizona native, and graduate of Arizona State University. As an active volunteer in our elementary and high schools for the past 15 years she has helped in the classroom; served on parent group boards; supervised school events; assisted in the school offices; prepared school budgets; served on school site counsels and planning/design teams; participated on district committees for hiring and system selections; and worked with the districts to improve crosswalk safety and increase security around our schools. |
Donna Stout, the widow of former governing board member the late Bill Stout, is a proud grandmother of four and long-time area resident. She worked for Honeywell for 30 years, retiring in 2005. She also ran a landscaping equipment repair business for 17 years. She is active in a variety of community issues, including the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. |
